Penalties for a Nevada battery domestic violence conviction
For the first offense within seven years, battery domestic violence is a misdemeanor, punishable by:
- At least two days in jail up to six months;
- A minimum of 48 hours, but not more than 120 hours, of community service;

- Participate in weekly counseling sessions of at least 1 1/2 hours per week for at least six months up to 12 months for the treatment of domestic violence;
